DotConnect for Oracle

dotConnect for Oracle is a complete data access solution for Oracle driven database applications. It features support for ORM, is based on ADO.NET technology and offers fast DB connectivity. It also enables direct connections to Oracle databases via TCP/IP and comes bundled with many development tools.

It enables developers to build database driven applications, supporting many Oracle-specific features, such as Advanced Queuing, Alerts, Pipes, Direct Path Loading and others. In addition, it also comes with built-in tools for creating and editing datasets, these tools being DataSet Editor, DataSet Wizard and DataSet Manager.

It also comes with various GUI tools for enhancing developer's productivity and enabling developers to easily set up different connection parameters. A support for integration into many development tools is also available, one of them being Microsoft Visual Studio.

ORM solutions that are supported include ADO.NET Entity Framework, NHibernate and LinqConnect, and it also comes packed with visual ORM model designer, called Entity Developer.

It supports various ASP 2.0 providers, such as Role, Session State and similar, whilst for importing and exporting of data from/to Oracle database servers, there is a support for Integration Services added as well.
